Covid-19 Salon Protocol

As part of making you look & feel great again, we’re doing everything in our power to make your experience at the salon go smoothly & safely, with real human interactions that help us all feel connected again. Please take a moment to absorb our protocols below.


  • Morning of your appt. we will reach out w/ a few questions - your stylist will call or text.
  • Please text your stylist once you have arrived - the door will remain locked to limit people in the salon.
  • Temperatures will be taken for everyone entering.
  • If you aren’t feeling well or have a temp above 100.4 (per CDC) we will be happy to reschedule you.
  • Guests & children are not permitted in the salon, only individuals receiving service.
  • Face coverings are mandatory at all times.
  • All Clients must sanitize hands prior to being seated.
  • Arrive on time. 10 min past your scheduled appt. is a missed appt., and will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of service (we have never had to implement this, please helps us not have to enforce it).


  • Strict disinfectant cleaning protocols performed every morning, and throughout the day.
  • Hand sanitizer and isopropyl alcohol spray is on hands at all times.
  • All stations are over 7 feet apart.
  • Scheduling will limit the number of clients in the salon at a given time.
  • All common surfaces will be routinely wiped down with disinfectant wipes.
  • No cash, no magazines, no beverages.
  • Stylist stations will be disinfected in front of each client prior to sitting.


  • Temperatures taken prior to every shift.
  • Masks, gloves and coveralls are mandatory at all times.
  • Shifted schedules enable us to keep total occupants well under the recommendations of the state and city.


  • Blow Drys will not be performed until further notice.
  • Abbreviated Services to lesson exposure - available upon request (e.g. express roots -- in salon application with at-home rinse).
  • Any at-risk clients can speak with their stylist about off-hours booking.

I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing.

I further acknowledge that appt-only salon has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus.

I further acknowledge that appt-only salon cannot guarantee that I will not become infected with COVID-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, salon staff, and other salon clients and their families.

I voluntarily seek services provided by appt-only salon and acknowledge that I am increasing my risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending my appointment.

I attest that:

  • If I acquire symptoms or become infected within 10 days following my appointment I will contact and inform appt-only salon management immediately to help contain the spread of COIVD-19.
  • I am not experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
  • I have not traveled internationally within the last 14 days.
  • I have not traveled to a highly impacted area within the United States of America in the last 14 days.
  • I do not believe I have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
  • I have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as non contagious by state or local public health authorities.
  • I am following all CDC recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

By accepting services I hereby release and agree to hold appt-only salon harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of the salon, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from appt-only salon I understand that this release discharges appt-only salon from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the salon with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from appt-only salon. This liability waiver and release extends to the salon together with all owners, partners, and staff.
